Christianity's
Family Tree
January 6 - March 17
Leader: Aleeta Christian
In Christianity's Family Tree: What Other Christians Believe
and Why, Adam Hamilton presents a generous, inspiring vision of eight
Christian denominations and faith traditions. Comparing the Christian family
to our own extended families, he contends that each denomination has a
unique, valuable perspective to offer on the Christian faith.
Invitation
to John
January 13 - April 28
Leader: Rev. LeNoir Culbertson
The invitation from Christ is: "Come and see. Follow me."
Experience the magnificent passages in John including the I Am statements (I
am the truth, the life and the way, I am the living water and more). Revisit
stories only told in John's gospel including Nicodemus, Mary Magdalene and
the raising of Lazarus.
On
Ma Journey Now
February 24 - March 17
Leader: Rev. Jared Wilson
On Ma Journey Now is a 4-week Lenten study based on
African American spirituals. This study was written by Gwendolyn
Brown-Felder, a minister at Gordon Memorial United Methodist Church in
Nashville.
Seeing
Gray in a World of Black and White
April 7 - May 5
Leader: Rev. Brian Marcoulier
Everyone agrees the America is polarized, with ever-hardening
positions held by people less and less willing to listen to one another. No
one agrees on what to do about it. One solution that hasn't yet been tried,
says Adam Hamilton, is for thinking persons of faith to model for the rest
of the country a richer, more thoughtful conversation on the political,
moral, and religious issues that divide us. Hamilton rejects the easy
assumptions and sloppy analysis of black and white thinking, seeking instead
the truth that resides on all sides of the issues, and offering a faithful
and compassionate way forward.

Chili Cook Off, please sign us with Pastor Brian.

Bible Fun Zone: Exploring the Life of Christ
(age 3 - 1st grade)
Bible Fun Zone will offer children an
opportunity to explore the life of Christ throughout the Spring semester.
Children will learn about the life of Jesus through stories, songs, games,
art projects, and other activities. This will be an exciting time to build
on the Christmas story and remind children that Jesus is more that just a
baby born in Bethlehem. We hope everyone can join us!
