F.U.E.L. (Full of Emmaus Love)
There are children in our school system that may not eat between lunch on Friday and breakfast on Monday. There are children in our area and across the nation who may go for up to 67 hours with no food every week.
F.U.E.L. is a food subsidization program that places food directly in the back packs of Clarksville children every Friday afternoon.
MSUMC has partnered with the Montgomery Co F.U.E.L. program and currently provides food bags to Smith Elementary and New Providence Middle Schools. Every week volunteers fill bags and take them to the schools to assure that those children do not go hungry over the weekend. You can support this ministry by donating food items or monetary gifts.
Below is a list of recommended food items needed on a regular basis. 100+ servings of each category are needed each week. All food should be non-perishable. Nothing should require refrigeration or need cooking. Please make sure food is not in metal cans or glass bottles. Small pouches, paper and plastic containers are best.
