Connection Point
Getting Started at Madison Street

The Christian life is not meant to be lived alone. We were created for community--community with God and with one another! Yet each of us must take our own path--one where God is leading us to grow deeper in faith and become more Christ-like each day. At Madison Street, we call that path "The Journey of Discipleship," where we strive to grow Disciples of Christ who Know Him, Love Him, and Serve Him. Let's explore some of the first steps in becoming connected to life at Madison Street United Methodist Church!
Where do I start?
Whether you are interested in becoming part of a small group, a mission team, a choir, or any other facet of ministry at Madison Street, we suggest that your first step be to participate in CONNECTION POINT!
CONNECTION POINT
Connection Point sessions are held once per month, usually on Sunday afternoons. In this casual setting, you will have the opportunity to meet each of our pastors and other staff memebers, to explore the meaning of church membership, to learn about the ministry options at Madison Street, and to formulate a plan for becoming involved in the church's ministry.

Questions??
If I participate in CONNECTION POINT does that mean I have to join the church? No, Connection Point is designed for visitors, new members, and current members looking for opportunities to become more active. While you will receive information about how to become a member, you will not be pressured to join.
Will CONNECTION POINT help me find a way to become connected to a Sunday School class or small group? Yes! Part of what we do in Connection Point will be to help you formulate a plan for becoming involved in a small group or Sunday School class. We will also help you explore other areas of ministry of which may be of interest to you, including mission/outreach, congregational care, music and worship arts, etc.
I don't know much about The United Methodist Church. Will CONNECTION POINT help me understand more?
Absolutely! We'll spend some time in Connection Point exploring the rich heritage of Methodism and how our heritage informs who we are today as United Methodist Christians active in 'making disciples for the transformation of the world." - The Mission of The United Methodist Church
