The Reiger-Kloss Pipe Organ

Following the devastation of the sanctuary rendered by a 1999 tornado, much work and attention was given to the design and installation of the new pipe organ. for Madison Street Church. The Rieger-Kloss Company of the Czech Republic was chosen to build the instrument. Installed in the Fall of 2001, this magnificent instrument and work of art comprises some 47 ranks of pipes and is playable from a 3-manual console. It is quickly becoming known as one of the premier pipe organs in the country. The tones, voices, and textures created by this instrument enhance worship and congregational singing in  tremendous ways.

The Arts

Drama Ministries - Through the years dramatic offerings have been prominent in the life of Madison Street Church.  Musicals such as A Christmas Carol, The Sound of Music, A Madrigal Feast at the Home of Charles Wesley, and The First Silent Night have been a source of entertainment, and an opportunity for spiritual and cultural enrichment for the Clarksville community.

The Visual Arts  - The Sidney M. Johnson Gallery of Art
The gallery is named in honor of Sidney Johnson who faithfully chaired our Building Committee through our recent rebuilding process. The gallery is located on the Commerce Street side of the building and stretches almost the entire length of the complex from Hiter to Third Street. Looking from either end of the gallery you are treated to a magnificent view of opposing architectural arches. Large windows provide visually stunning displays of shadows and highlights no matter what time of the day you visit. Works of art by local artisans, as well as regional works of art, are shown in the gallery at various times throughout the year.
