Are you looking for a church home—a place where you and your family can connect with others in the body of Christ in a meaningful way? Then we invite you to join us and encourage you to take a look at all the ways you can experience God at Madison Street United Methodist Church.
We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions to assist our first-time visitors, but should you have others, please feel free to contact one of our staff members.
Sunday mornings begin with classes/groups for children, youth, and adults at 9:00 am, followed by worship at 10:15.
On Wednesday evenings, we host THRIVE—Food, Fellowship, and Study—with dinner beginning at 5:00 pm. Our study hour starts at 6:00 pm and includes a variety of opportunities to connect for the entire family—whole & small group Bible studies, fitness for men & women, music & study opportunities for older students, and Worship Arts for Kids, better known as WAKy Wednesdays, for children.
MSUMC is located at 319 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN. Parking is available across the street from the front entrance of the church in the Dollar General Store parking lot. Additional parking, to include handicap spaces, is available at the Commerce Street entrance. Those in wheelchairs should plan to use this entrance. Please note, for the safety of our members and guests, this entrance locks at 10:30 am on Sunday mornings.
The programming for our children and youth is centered around theologically sound, Bible-based instruction, fellowship, and relationship building. Sunday school curriculum varies by age group and is chosen based on the developmental and faith needs of each group. This starts with our 2 year-old class and runs through the high school level. A nursery program is available for children under 2.
During worship, children ages 4 and up are invited to participate in worship with their families, but are dismissed mid-service for our Kids Core program.
Additionally, we offer a variety of activities and service opportunities for our children and youth throughout the year. If you would like to know more specific information, please visit our age-level ministry pages on this site.
Several times throughout the year, we offer a Membership 101 class. This class is specifically for visitors who are thinking about making Madison Street UMC their church home. During this class, participants learn more about the United Methodist Church in general, as well as what makes MSUMC unique and what it means to be a member. At the conclusion of each 4 week class, we will celebrate those wishing to join our church family with a special Membership Sunday. If you would like more information about the next Membership 101 class, please contact Rev. Lisa Martin, Associate Pastor, Connectional Ministries & Outreach.
We have many groups to choose from at MSUMC—from traditional Sunday school classes to short-term small groups, from gender-specific groups to more interest-identified groups, from young to old, and everywhere in between. Please browse our website for more information on the variety of ways you can get connected with a group that is right for you. If you have additional questions, please contact Rev. Lisa Martin, Associate Pastor, Connectional Ministries & Outreach or Rev. Jared Wilson, Senior Associate Pastor.
There are some specific guidelines as to who can use the church facilities and what events are eligible for use. For information in regards to weddings, please contact Lacy Wilson, Wedding Coordinator. For all other facility usage requests, please contact Sherry Maynard.
