A message from the Pastor:

When we honestly see life as a gift, we are apt to be more responsible in our stewardship.

Because I am sure that all of life is a gift, I want to give back to the cause of the One who is the supreme giver.  This is not an “ought” or a “should” or a “must,” it is something that we, as a family, want to do.

Those who are not good stewards see life, not as a gift, but as an entitlement.  If we think that we are entitled to all that we have and more, we are not motivated to share in a disciplined way.

    When we fill in our Time & Talent Surveys for 2008 we will be saying, in a concrete way, what we hold to be important.  We are making a statement that we want to advance the cause of Christ by offering our time and abilities to the ministries of worship, learning, service, teaching and   healing.  Before you fill out your survey, consider praying this prayer:

Almighty and everlasting God,

You made the universe with its marvelous order, its atoms, worlds and galaxies, and the infinite complexity of living creatures including me!  Grant that, as I come to know you more truly, I shall surely fulfill my role in your eternal purpose. Amen.
