Hospitality Ministries

Sunday Mornings

9:00 a.m. — Sunday Morning Small Groups

10:15 a.m. — Worship Service

Hospitality is one of the simplest and most meaningful ways people serve at Madison Street. A warm greeting, a helpful conversation, or a familiar presence can help someone feel at home—especially those who are joining us for the first time.

These ministries offer practical ways to contribute to the life of the church and help ensure that members and guests experience the welcome and care that define this community.

If you would like to serve in any of the roles below, we would be glad to hear from you.

Greeters

Greeters offer a warm welcome to everyone who enters the building on Sunday mornings and during special services throughout the year.

Greeters help people find their way, answer simple questions, and create a welcoming environment for both members and guests.

If you enjoy meeting people and helping others feel comfortable when they arrive, serving as a greeter may be a meaningful way to contribute to the life of the church.

Reception Desk

Reception desk volunteers provide a welcoming presence during the church’s weekday office hours. Volunteers greet visitors, answer the phone, and help connect people with the appropriate staff or ministry.

Reception shifts are available Monday through Thursday:

  • 9:00 a.m. – Noon
  • Noon – 3:00 p.m.

Some shifts are already filled, but additional volunteers and substitutes are still needed.

If you are interested in serving at the reception desk or would like more information,

Communion Servers

Communion servers assist in offering the sacrament of Holy Communion during worship services.

This ministry supports one of the central practices of the church and allows volunteers to help offer the grace of the Lord’s Table to members and guests.

Communion is typically celebrated on the first Sunday of each month.

Audio/Visual & Streaming Tech

Audio/visual and streaming volunteers help support worship by making sure sound, video, and livestream elements run smoothly each Sunday and during special services throughout the year.

This ministry includes a variety of hands-on roles, such as setting up microphones, adjusting faders to control sound levels in both the sanctuary and the livestream, helping position and monitor cameras, and assisting with slides or other media as needed.

Volunteers do not need to come in with advanced technical experience. Training can be provided, and there are opportunities to serve in ways that match different comfort levels and interests

If you enjoy working behind the scenes, learning new skills, and helping create a meaningful worship experience for those in person and online, serving with the audio/visual and streaming team may be a meaningful way to contribute to the life of the church.
